Course Description
This in-depth study invites participants to delve deeper into the themes and teachings encountered during their journey through the "Year with Jesus" devotional program. Designed to be an enriching complement, this course encourages critical engagement with the material, fostering a deeper understanding of biblical principles and their application to daily life. The course is divided into six thematic units, each exploring key aspects of the Christian faith as presented in the "Year with Jesus" devotional. Students are encouraged to work through the units at their own pace, allowing the course to seamlessly integrate with their devotional journey.
Course Objectives:
Knowledge & Understanding
Summarize the key events and teachings of Jesus as presented in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
Understand the unique perspectives and emphases of each Gospel writer (e.g., Matthew as King, Mark as Servant, Luke as Son of Man, John as Lord).
Define and explain the significance of Christological titles (e.g., King, Servant, Son of Man, Lord) as they relate to the person and work of Jesus.
Understand foundational Christian doctrines such as the Trinity, the Incarnation, the Atonement, and the Resurrection.
Develop basic skills in reading and interpreting biblical texts, including identifying key themes, characters, and literary devices.

Apply biblical principles and teachings to real-life situations and personal challenges.
Develop strategies for integrating faith into daily life.
Analyze and evaluate different perspectives on Christian beliefs and practices.
Critically examine personal beliefs and assumptions in light of Scripture.
